Putting fans at the center of the action

We partnered with Fan Controlled Sports to help design and build their Hoops experience from the ground up. Working with former game designers from Atari and EA, we designed the user experience and game mechanics for their new league, FC Hoops.

The creators of Fan Controlled Football are launching the next big thing in sports, putting fans at the center of the action once again with Fan Controlled Hoops — taking a fresh approach to basketball with a dynamic, fully interactive LED court and an app that gives viewers a new way to enjoy the sport and take control of the game.

FC Hoops offers a revolutionary experience: 4v4 basketball played on an entirely LED court controlled by the fans. Working alongside game designers and former NBA players, we helped create a captivating and intuitive experience for players and fans alike.

Pre-game, mid-game and post-game — the live scoreboard, court map and box score

The project began with game design, user testing, and ideation, followed by wireframes and UI design for both the app and website. The key challenge was balancing the game UI and app UI into an experience that's quick to pick up and hard to put down — real-time stats, highlights, fan-controlled snake drafts, and the interactive LED court itself.

The FCHoops offers a revolutionary new experience of 4v4 basketball played on an entirely LED court controlled by the fans. Working alongside game designers and former NBA players we helped create a captivating and intuitive experience for the players and the fans.
